Simple Skincare

Kara S

Updated: Jan 24, 2023

I keep it simple! I usually start with 4 simple steps! I think everyone can handle 4 steps in the AM. Cleanse, tone, moisturizer, SPF. Especially, if you’re new to a skincare routine, not everyone is up for 5 or 6 steps and trying to remember between AM and PM can be a nightmare! If you like to cleanse your face before bed, then do the steps, except the SPF. Once you get comfortable with these steps, then add in another and so on. If you’re not sure what you should use or start with, seeing an Aesthetician / Esthetician is a good place to start. Often times, people are using the wrong products on their face and causing more harm than doing good.

More important that the steps, are the RIGHT products for your skin type. Have you just been guessing because you went to Sephora or Ulta and the lady behind the counter said it’s good for your skin type but you’re not even really sure what your skin type is and neither is she…

Before I really understood skin, ingredients and various skin conditions, I was always guessing and wasting money because I thought I knew what my skin type was. WRONG! My skin was often feeling dry and if you’re using the right products, you will have a nice balance of oil and water in your skin. Not too dry, not too oily. A good way to find out what products and/or ingredients are good for your skin type, is to meet with someone who has the knowledge, education and studies it for a living. Not an influencer!

Best to start with a Consultation or a Classic Facial is a great place to start if you are serious about your skin and ingredients. http://www.goodvibesaesthetics.com
